Your Digestive Fire
Your digestive fire can over burn or flicker out especially at this time of year. Over endulging in rich foods and getting out of alignment with your usual eating routine combined with extra stress can tip it off.
You can still eat well, even if you are surrounded by festive food. It doesn’t have to be about the sugar coated santa biscuis or fat packed snack tempations! There are so many yummy delights out there that wont leave you with indigestion or the groggy feeling of a food hangover.
Wholesome choices don’t have to be dull and party pooping! Here are some yummilicious links:

By keeping a wholesome base with nutricious and nurturing roots such as parsnips, carrots, beetroot and celeriac, it will help you stay grounded. You can also add Ginger to soups and stews for a warming, super grounding medicinal meal.
As well as being warming, Ginger is well known for supporting digestion. A simple tea made with hot water and grated ginger is like kindling for your digestive fire. A cup first thing in the morning can help you get going on so many levels! Stimulating your digestive juices, your circulation and enhancing your life force energy.
Parsley is full of life force energy! Often seen as just a garnish, that little sprig may be more nutricious than the rest of the buffet!
Parsley contains about three times the amount of vitamin C by volume as an orange. Other nutrients include vitamin K, vitamin A, and folic acid as well as its iron, calcium, and magnesium.
It is high in volatile oils and is known to cleanse the blood, deodorise body odour and is indicated in many inflammatory conditions. It is so potent that it is recommended to be avoided in pregancy and for those taking blood thinners.
Parsley is a great indoor herb during winter time. Adding a fresh sprig or two to meals after cooking will bring you extra vitatlity 🙂
