Finding the yurt
The yurt is situated in a garden next to Archerfield Walled Garden. There is a full map under contact & map
To find the yurt… drive into the Archerfield estate, turn first left towards Archerfield Walled Garden, drive straight on at the mini roundabout, turn right into deliveries car park before the private gates, then on the left drive up to green door.
I’ll meet you at the green door at the time of your appointment or class.
Arriving at the yurt
As there is no waiting room please do not arrive at the yurt early
Even by a few minutes.
If you do, the walled garden has a restaurant, deli and shop and is open seven days a week 9.30am to 5pm. Feel free to explore the beautiful gardens too! www.archerfieldwalledgarden.com
You will see a sign which either says “come in!” when I’m available or “treatment in progress” if I’m with someone.
- If it says “come in”, I am ready for you and you can make your way to the yurt
- If it says “treatment in progress” please wait for me at the green door.
Please do not panic or bang on the door if I’m a few minutes late. I will be with you soon.
By car: There are lots of parking spaces
By bus: North Berwick bus stops at the top of the road
By bicycle: There’s a safe space for your bike 😉
To book a space for a class, full payment is due at least the week before to confirm your space. This can be done by bank transfer (contact Jen for details) or cash. If you need to reschedule a class one weeks notice is needed. If you don’t show up to a class you have booked no refund is due.
You can pay for your session by bank transfer (contact Jen for details), gift voucher or cash on the day. If you choose to pay by bank transfer this payment must be made before your appointment or on the same day at the very latest.
If you have a gift voucher please confirm this at the time of booking with the code and bring your voucher with you on the day.
If you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so ASAP to avoid a 24 hour cancellation policy where 50% of the payment will be due. Likewise, in the event that your appointment is rescheduled or cancelled by me less than 24 hours before, 50% of the payment will be deducted from your treatment. If you don’t show up for your appointment full payment is due.
If you are unwell or think you have a contagious condition please let me know before you come to check its ok to receive a treatment or attend a class.
Shoes: The yurt is a shoe free zone. This is important as it keeps the space clear. You are welcome to use the inside front door mat to take your shoes on and off but
please do not step on the wooden floor with your shoes at all.
🌟Please only put your shoes on as you go out the door🌟
Please respect the space and be conscious of this.
Phone: Please switch you mobile phone completely off before you come in so it doesn’t disturb you or anyone else’s special time in the yurt.
Door: As the door is low please watch your lovely head when going in and out!
It is difficult to leave the cosy yurt after a class or treatment. It’s a busy place so there may be someone else waiting outside. If you feel like you need more time before you travel home you may like to spend time at the walled garden or go for a walk in the grounds.
A few other things…
🌟There’s no lost property department therefore please make sure you bring your belongings home with you!
🌟While emotional baggage is most welcome, lots of physical bags of stuff are not ideal. Please just bring what you need for sessions especially during busy classes.
🌟To make sure you are comfortable and to prevent indigestion it’s best to avoid eating a big meal before a massage or class. A light meal two hours before is recommended.
🌟To get the most benefit from your session it’s best to drink lots of water (1 to 2 litres) and rest as much as possible after a big healing experience to support integration.
🌟Anything you are not sure about or need some guidance on please get in touch 07931886573 or firstname.lastname@example.org
I truly hope you enjoy your visit to the yurt. It is a very relaxed place so please feel free to come as your most comfortable self (a few people even wear their pj’s and onesies!).
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
